Planting Your Carrot Seed
My name is Whitney and I founded Carrot Seed after almost a decade in law and academic medicine. The name Carrot Seed is inspired by The Carrot Seed by Ruth Krauss. In this children’s book, a little boy plants a carrot seed. Although his family repeatedly tells him no carrot will sprout, the little boy tends to his seed every day, and one day, a carrot comes up, “just as the little boy had known it would.”
The Carrot Seed offers us messages about the importance of internal wisdom, patience, and practices. Coaching offers us an opportunity to bring those messages to life, tending to our whole selves, so something new can grow.
